September 23 - 27

GYM STRIP has arrived! We have received the shipment of gym strip this week. Students who have paid in the office will be receiving their gym strip in class Friday and Monday. We appreciated your patience as this shipment took a while to come in. Locks have also arrived, therefore any students who did not receive a lock in the first week will have one next week- that goes for grade 5 students as well!

All classes are extending their modules from this week into Tuesday next week! We will then begin our first round of fitness testing in PE.

Phys Ed 62.  This week we played soccer outside and worked on our fitness skills.  Next week we will try to play soccer as long as the weather cooperates.  We will start fitness testing starting Wednesday.  Have a great snowy weekend.  Mr Favry

Phys Ed 81.  This week we played football outside.  We will extend this unit until Tuesday as long as the snow does not stop us.  we will start fitness testing on Wednesday.  Mr Favry

This week we continued with our Softball Unit. All Classes worked on throwing and catching, ground balls as well as having a specific day centered around batting practice. It was a great week! Thank you to everyone for giving their best effort each day and good job to everyone in the Terry Fox Run!

Next week those students who paid for Gym Strip will be receiving them. I apologize this did not happen sooner, the order was delayed and just arrived and so Monday students will be receiving their Gym Strip. Those students who also don't have a PE Locker will also be getting a PE Locker on Monday as our Locks arrived this week too. Tuesday will be the last day of this Module before moving into the first round Fitness Testing.

Monday is also my last day here at DTS as Erin Hidalgo comes back on Monday too. I would like to thank each and everyone for you for making September an amazing month of teaching and I wish you all the best throughout the rest of this year. I hope to be back often working on the Sub List.

Have a great weekend!

Mr. Thalheimer
